Urgent Appeal to Find Missing Dublin Girls Katie Russell and Molly Deans
An urgent search is underway for two teenage girls, Katie Russell Mullen, 15, and Molly Deans, 14, who have been reported missing from Dublin.
The girls were last seen together in the Beacon area of Sandyford, Dublin 18, at around 6 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026. Gardaí and their families are appealing to the public for any information that could help establish their whereabouts.
Family Appeals for Help
Katie’s mother, Joanne Russell, said the family is extremely worried about the two girls and is asking anyone who may have seen them or communicated with them to come forward.
It is believed that the both girls ran away from home following a premeditated plan.
In an appeal, Joanne said Katie and Molly had been in the Sandyford area before they were last seen and stressed that the family simply wants to know that both girls are safe. 
Both teenagers have been reported to An Garda Síochána as missing persons.
Description of Katie Russell
Gardaí described Katie as approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes.
When she was last seen, Katie was wearing a light grey tracksuit and a black puffer jacket.
Description of Molly Deans
Molly is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with brown hair and green eyes.
She was last seen wearing a dark grey tracksuit and a brown puffer jacket.
Gardaí said the girls were last seen together in the Beacon area of Sandyford.

Gardaí said they and the families of both teenagers are concerned for their wellbeing and are asking anyone with information to contact authorities.
Anyone who has seen Katie or Molly, knows where they may be, or has information that could assist the search is asked to contact Rathfarnham Garda Station on (01) 666 6500, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
The families are urging anyone with potentially useful information to come forward as soon as possible.
